Start With the Surgical Requirement

Choose the Right Retractor Blades

Blade selection depends on the retraction required and on the configuration in use. Consider the Ratchet Mechanisms

Ratchet mechanisms clamp to the ring, hold the blades and allow their position to be adjusted. Each blade in use needs a ratchet, so the number and type of ratchets is part of the specification rather than an afterthought.
