Product Description
The Bookwalter Elliptical Segmented Ring is the large-aperture mounting frame of a table-mounted Bookwalter retractor system. Suspended over the operative field on a field post and horizontal flex bar assembly, it carries the ratchets and retractor blades that hold the exposure in position for the duration of the procedure.
At 14" x 15" (35.6 x 38.1 cm) the frame is intended for expansive operative fields where a wide working aperture is required. Its articulated, segmented construction means the straight side segments are interchangeable, so the frame can be reconfigured with compatible ring segments already held in a department's inventory rather than replaced as a whole.
The ring is machined from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and is compatible with standard Bookwalter Retractor Systems, field posts, horizontal flex bars and ratchets. It is supplied non-sterile, fully autoclavable, in individual protective packaging as a brand new replacement component.
