Bookwalter Retractor Parts and Components

Every component of a Bookwalter-style system can normally be replaced on its own: the ring, the field posts, the ratchets that hold each blade, the table-mounted bar and the clamps that join them. Retractor Maker supplies these components individually as replacements or additions to an existing set.

Ratchets see the most mechanical cycling in a working set and are the most common wear item. Rings, posts and clamps are usually replaced after damage or when a frame is extended.

If you are unsure which component you need, send a photograph with a measurement reference and we will confirm what we can supply.

Do you sell individual Bookwalter retractor parts?

Yes. Rings, field posts, ratchets, bars, clamps and other components can be supplied individually as replacements or additions to an existing set.

What material are Bookwalter retractors made from?

Surgical-grade stainless steel is the standard material for these systems. The exact grade for a given item is stated on the quotation and specification sheet for that item.
