Product Description
The Bookwalter IMA Ratchet Mechanism is the drive component that raises and holds an individual IMA retractor blade during Internal Mammary Artery (IMA) harvesting. Mounted within the retractor frame, it converts small turns of the twist knob into controlled vertical elevation of the chest wall.
Its micro twist ratchet advances in increments of less than 1 mm, so exposure can be increased gradually and held without slipping. The mechanism is machined from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and is exclusively compatible with the Bookwalter IMA Retractor System.
