The Bookwalter IMA Retractor System is a table-mounted retractor set designed for gentle, controlled elevation of the chest wall during Internal Mammary Artery harvesting procedures. A 12″ vertical extension bar, post coupler, horizontal bar and 12″ IMA cross bar support two independently adjustable micro twist IMA ratchet mechanisms and two IMA retractor blades. All components are manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and supplied in a sterilization box.
Product Description
The Bookwalter IMA Retractor System is a table-mounted retractor system designed to provide gentle, controlled elevation of the chest wall during Internal Mammary Artery (IMA) harvesting procedures. The system is assembled from a 12″ (30 cm) vertical extension bar, a post coupler and a horizontal bar, which together create a stable support framework attached to the operating table.
A 12″ (30 cm) IMA cross bar spans the working area and carries two IMA ratchet mechanisms with micro twist adjustment of less than 1 mm per increment. Because each ratchet is adjusted independently, the two included IMA retractor blades can be raised or lowered separately to achieve the degree of chest-wall elevation required on each side.
All components are manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and are supplied in a dedicated sterilization box for organized storage and processing. The system is reusable and fully autoclavable.
The system is supplied non-sterile and must be cleaned and sterilized according to the healthcare facility's validated procedures before use. Retractor Maker manufactures the system in Sialkot, Pakistan and supplies it directly to hospitals, surgeons and distributors.
