The Bookwalter Retractor System – Standard is a table-mounted self-retaining retractor designed to provide stable, hands-free exposure during major open abdominal procedures. Its modular framework combines a field post, horizontal support components, retractor rings and adjustable ratchet mechanisms to hold selected blades around the operative field.
The Standard configuration includes a medium oval ring, a medium segmented ring, standard and tilt ratchet mechanisms, and a selection of Balfour, Kelly and malleable blades. The complete set is supplied in a dedicated perforated sterilization box for organized storage and processing.
The system is supplied non-sterile and is designed to be cleaned and sterilized before use according to the healthcare facility's validated procedures.
