The Custom Bookwalter Retractor is built to order around your surgical specialty, preferred components and procedural requirements. Mounting hardware, ring frames, ratchet mechanisms, blades and packaging are all configurable. The final component list, and therefore the price, depends on the configuration agreed for your set — the $2,999 figure is a starting reference, not a fixed component list.

Product Description

The Custom Bookwalter Retractor is a fully configurable table-mounted self-retaining retractor system manufactured according to the customer's surgical specialty, preferred components and procedural requirements. Rather than a fixed set, it is specified together with you: you choose the mounting hardware, ring frame style, ratchet mechanisms, rigid and malleable blades, and the storage or packaging format.

Important: the component categories listed under Component List are the options available for selection. They are not all included at the $2,999 reference price. The exact contents of your set — and the final price — are confirmed in writing during quoting, once the configuration is agreed.

Available mounting hardware includes standard 12″ and 18″ field posts, top-mount StrongArm PLUS holders, heavy-duty rail clamps, post couplers, horizontal bars, horizontal flex bars and extension bars. Ring frames can be solid or segmented, oval or round, and include half-circle segments, 4″, 6″ and 8″ straight segments and notched perineal rings. Ratchet options cover standard non-tilt, multi-angle tilt and twist ratchets, ratchet extenders and low-profile lock mechanisms. Blade options include Kelly, Balfour, Harrington, Deaver, malleable, Richardson, Meyerding, Gelpi, vaginal lateral and posterior, renal Wylie and rectal blades, plus deep rake claws.

All components are manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel. Sets are supplied non-sterile, are reusable and fully autoclavable, and must be cleaned and sterilized according to your facility's validated procedures before use. Storage options include perforated sterilization boxes, customized tray inserts, protective transport containers and OEM private-label packaging.

Retractor Maker manufactures custom Bookwalter-style sets directly at its facility near Sardaar Saleem Medident Hospital, Roras Road, Sialkot 51310, Pakistan.
