The Bookwalter StrongArm General Surgery Retractor System is a self-retaining retractor set for open general surgery. A height-adjustable top mount StrongArm PLUS Holder with heavy-duty rail clamp supports two segmented rings, while two standard ratchets and six tilt ratchets hold Balfour, Kelly, Harrington, Gelpi and malleable blades. Manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and supplied non-sterile in a sterilization box.
Product Description
The Bookwalter StrongArm General Surgery Retractor System is a self-retaining retractor system mounted on the StrongArm PLUS Holder. The holder anchors to the operating table and supports the retracting frame, providing stable, hands-free surgical exposure during open general surgical procedures.
The mounting system consists of a height-adjustable, articulated top mount StrongArm PLUS Holder and a heavy-duty rail clamp compatible with the table rail. Two segmented rings are supplied — 10½″ × 14½″ (26.7 × 36.8 cm) and 10½″ × 19″ (26.7 × 48.3 cm) — so the frame can be sized and reconfigured to suit the length of the incision.
Two standard non-tilt ratchet mechanisms and six multi-angle tilt ratchets hold each blade at the required depth and angle. The blade complement includes a Balfour blade, four Kelly blades in 3″, 4″, 5″ and 6″ lengths, a Harrington blade, a Gelpi blade and four malleable blades in 3″ × 6″, 2″ × 6″ and 1½″ × 6″ sizes, covering a broad range of general surgical exposures.
All components are manufactured from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel. The set is brand new, reusable and fully autoclavable, and is supplied non-sterile — cleaning and sterilization must follow the healthcare facility's validated procedures before use. The system is supplied in a sterilization box for organized storage and processing. Retractor Maker manufactures the system in Sialkot, Pakistan and supplies it directly to hospitals, surgeons and distributors, with a minimum order quantity of one full set.
