The Bookwalter GYN Retractor System is a table-mounted self-retaining retractor designed to provide stable, hands-free exposure during gynecological and vaginal procedures. Its modular framework combines a field post, horizontal support bar, notched perineal ring and adjustable tilt ratchet mechanisms to hold selected blades around the operative field.
The GYN configuration includes a 9½″ × 14½″ notched perineal ring, four multi-angle tilt ratchet mechanisms, vaginal lateral and posterior blades, and two Deaver blades. The complete set is supplied in a dedicated sterilization box for organized storage and processing.
The system is made from non-magnetic, surgical-grade stainless steel and is supplied non-sterile. It is designed to be reusable and autoclavable and should be cleaned and sterilized before use according to the healthcare facility's validated procedures.
